Appointment setting for a home inspection business
Cold calling homeowners is pointless in this trade. Nobody buys an inspection until a contract is signed. So the calling is aimed at the people who hand out the names.
The target list is brokerages, not agents one at a time. The ask is a fifteen minute slot at a sales meeting, or a continuing education class if you are approved to teach one in your state. That single appointment puts you in front of twenty agents at once, and it is the highest yield thing an inspector can do with a phone.
The second list is investors, property managers, relocation companies and builders. Builders need phase inspections, which are recurring and scheduled in advance rather than crammed into a 48 hour window. Property managers need move-in and move-out inspections. That work smooths the seasonal dips.
Realistic numbers: 80 to 120 dials a week produces four to eight booked appointments here. Brokerage offices are easy to reach and used to being pitched, so the connect rate is decent and the no-show rate is low.
Two weeks in you should have appointments on your calendar with notes, not a list of maybes.
